Job descriptions Board 2010 – 2011

This description of the functions contains the specific tasks and responsibilities of the different board positions. Besides the specific tasks of each position, every board member is occupied with general board tasks and the daily operations and policy of Asset | TOP-DOWN.

Remember: to become a board member, it is not necessary to have had prior experience within our study association. After an informational period, you will be able to start your board year with the essential prior knowledge.

Chairman 2010 -2011

• Final responsibility for all Asset | TOP-DOWN activities;
• Be aware of the overall picture and be up-to-date about everything which is happening within the association;
• Preside the General Members meetings, board meetings and Advisory board meetings;
• Have final responsibility for the policy and strategic plans of Asset | TOP-DOWN;
• Representative in the General Board of the Faculty association, and in the chairmen meetings about the EBT;
• Attend Audit of Account meetings and taking minutes;
• Be the contact person for the department of Organisation & Strategy, and be responsible for educational matters;
• Responsible for AlumniOS.

Secretary & Vice-chairman 2010 – 2011

• Take minutes during board meetings, General Members meetings and Advisory board meetings;
• Responsible for all incoming and outgoing communication;
• Writing the secretary annual report;
• Responsible for the planning of (promotional) activities;
• Take care of the active members within Asset | TOP-DOWN;
• Attracting new (active) members en inform them about the opportunities within the different committees;
• Sounding board for active members;
• Representative in the Business Administration cluster;
• Update the members’ administration.

Treasurer 2010 – 2011

• Draw up the budget for the entire year, quarterly realizations, and the yearly financial report and present these at the General Members Meeting;
• Update the financial administration;
• Collecting gifts from donors;
• Administer and check the cash box;
• Call on the Audit of accounts meetings, draw up the needed financial pieces and explaining them, and take care of a good relation between the audit of accounts and the board;
• Representative for the Audit of Accounts of the EBT (optional);
• Supervise all committee budgets.

Public Relations Officer 2010 – 2011

• Responsible for the contact between Asset | TOP-DOWN and the business world and the approaching of new contacts;
• Check the execution of contracts;
• Take care of a good coordination between committees related to the approach of companies;
• Prepare new PR-officers of different committees;
• Update the PR-database and point this out to committees;
• Representative in the Acquisition meetings.
